Jello Popcorn...sounds gross, right? Well, it's actually really good! And I'm not a big fan of popcorn. Back in March we had a "popcorn bar" at one of our Relief Society meetings. There were several different types of popcorn, but this was by far my favorite.
12 c. popcorn (popped)
1/2 c. butter
3 oz. Jello package (any flavor)
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. corn syrup
1/4 tsp baking soda
Mix butter, Jello, sugar, and syrup on medium heat until dissolved. Stir in baking soda. Spray brown grocery bag with cooking spray. Put popcorn in bag and pour sauce over popcorn. Shake until well coated. Put bag in microwave for 30 seconds, shake again, and microwave another 30 seconds. Spread on sprayed cookie sheet to cool.
You literally can make any flavor you want. We made it the other night and made lime. It turned out bright green and delicious! And loaded with all the good things in life...sugar, butter, and syrup! Too bad it's not "good" for you. :)
Pretty, isn't it? Enjoy!
